Lagomorphese, or bunny speak, to use the scientific term.
Once again, Ethnologue is caught napping.

As this site was (re-)started on Groundhog Day, 2005, a woodchuck-themed post might not be out of order.
- The Punxsatawney Groundhog Club offers information about groundhogs, focusing on Phil, the resident forecaster. They reveal that he relates his predictions in a language known as Groundhogese - sadly, not represented in Ethnologue.
- Punxsatawney is “the town of the sandflies” - etymology in a future post.
- In Abenaki, the woodchuck is known as akaskw; in Menomini, he is akuah. Hopefully, more languages to follow.
